I ordered the Light Solids pillow casES (plural)as a Christmas gift for my daughter.Thought the price of $10 for the set couldn't be beat! Order arrived very promptly with ONE pillow case. I had to contact the company twice before I got a response (still waiting on that e-mail they allegedly sent) only to be told I am the only person in the thousands of customers they have shipped these pillow cases to who has ever made this complaint. I have the boppy and the "my brest friend" pillow, and while the brest friend is better overall, the boppy is still totally worth having. The boppy doesn't provide any back support and doesn't have the firm, arm-supporting surface of the brest friend, but it is smaller and softer and therefore more versatile when experimenting with "unusual" breastfeeding positions. The boppy is best, for example, at keeping baby slightly upright in the football hold position to prevent reflux, which right now is important for me.Also, every woman is different--I can imagine there are some who would prefer the boppy to the brest friend. I say get both and experiment, like I did.

As a mom and a Doula I can not recommend this product enough!!!!First as a mom who birthed babies over 10 pounds, the last trimester was miserable until I found this product which allowed me to get some much need sleep, in at least some comfort.
As a doula I recommend all my clients get one to well into their second trimester, to be prepared early.
Once the baby is born I found it was extrememly helpful, when my babies had colds and needed to be slightly elevated.It fit nicely in their cradle.

The Uptown Dots Boppy cover is actually much lighter in color than pictured here; it's not unattractive, but the colors are much more on the pale pastel side. More to the point, the fabric is a cotton muslin that's thin and a little coarse (you wouldn't want sheets made from this material) and since the washing instructions say to dry it only on the "low, delicate cycle," it seems pretty clear that it's ready to shrink upon washing.

This pattern is kind of retro, in a fun way. Cleans well, my daughter spit up all over it, and you'd never know. The cotton fabric got softer in the wash as well. Subtle white dotted lines are all over the pillow (if you look closely, you can see them). The single fish is red. The "school" of three are orange. The dragonflies and the stripes on the frogs are also orange. Background is a nice aqua blue, I thought it would be more green. Pillow is just like every other Boppy. I only gave it four stars because the zipper is a bit lumpy.

Pros:
-Cute design on the soft side.
-Comes with subscription for 12 months of Parents magazine for free. And if you don't want it they will write you a check for $7.00.
-Soft!

Cons:
-Non soft side pattern is not that cute and is a rough fabric.
-This style only comes in the blue elephants or the pink one.I was looking for a green soft boppy pattern.
-The new style of boppy pillows are very small compared to the older style, but the older style was too big, so I guess this one is better for a smaller person.
-The soft fabric is different than the Boppy Luxe covers material.This is the kind of fabric that you would have to wash if you get milk on it because just wiping it will leave a hard mark and you'd be able to see the stain. Will need to be washed often. Not sure how it handles in the washer yet.I just got it out of the bag and the soft fabric already has imperfections in it with the direction the fabric fibers face.There are a few spots that look permanantly matted no matter hich way you rub it.

I am being critical in my review, it is not a BAD pillow or cover, however, I would expect to pay less for the quality that this pillow provides.I don't think it will age as well as my boppy from years ago with a luxe cover and that cost much less.I'll update once I get some use out of it.

Review of Boppy Bare Naked Pillow with Luxe Green Velvet Slipcover

Don't get me wrong. I love my boppy but if I had to rate it as a nursing aid (which I am doing so in this review), I would say it leaves much to be desired. When I first bought the boppy, I thought it was god's gift to moms. My son was a premie who learned to bottle feed first. I spent 3 weeks trying to teach him to breast feed. I bought the boppy and nearly cried in happiness because of the help and support it gave me. However, I own both the boppy and "my brest friend" nursing pillow. If you can afford both, get both. If you are looking for a great nursing aid, nothing can touch the "brest friend". Otherwise, I can see the potential of the boppy reading other reviews. It's got soo many uses as an all around pillow and I have to admit my husband and I fight over this pillow just because it's the most comfy pillow for taking a nice nap. The reason why I prefer the "brest friend" over the boppy:
1) Support: Boppy, unless you are sitting with your legs straight out, caves in towards the center where your belly button and the baby's belly is. I think it's uncomfortable for the baby. Brest friend is VERY FIRM support with raised pillows for the babys head on either side of your breasts. You can't see the "pillows". YOu have to run your hands over the pillow to feel it.
2) Ledge width: The Boppy is essentially a cylinder curved in a U shape. There isn't that much space for the baby to lie on. The brest friend is a wide flat surface. Plenty of space for baby and for me to squeeze on a cup and the remote control.
3) Valley: Because the boppy is a cylinder that's curved, there is a valley that forms between your belly and the boppy itself. My baby tends to fall in, get his leg stuck and it's not very comfortable. The brest friend forms a perfect right angle with your belly. Yet at the same time, this valley is a great for snuggling the baby while watching TV and making sure he doesn't move.
What I do like about the Boppy over the brest friend is that it sells spare slipcovers which the Brest Friend doesn't.

This was a waste of money.I got it so that my daughters head would not fall forward while she was sleeping in her car seat but the part that goes behind her head is so bulky that it actually pushes her head forward.It also limits their head movement when they are awake, so I had to take it off anyway.It did not hug her head like it is shown in the picture.I think you would be better off with one of those small boppy like pillows they make for this same purpose and just put it under their chin when they fall asleep.

I received my boppy a few weeks before my daughter was born and found uses for it right away! It supported the small of my back when I had to sit in hard chairs and I even used it to prop myself up with at night to prevent that dreaded heartburn!
I faithfully took my boppy along when I went into labor and found another use for it even before I gave our daughter her first feed! The doctor had given me an episiotomy and I really struggled to sit up properly on the stitches. Boppy to the rescue again! Sitting on this pillow took the pressure off my stitches so that I could hold and feed my baby without pain!
It is great for breastfeeding and allows me to have my hands free so that I can answer my e-mail and breastfeed at the same time ;-) She loves to lie in it, the older kids love to play with it and I can see I will need to buy a few more...;-)
The only critisism I have is that If my baby spills her milk while feeding, the color from the boppy runs and ruins her jumpers. Get a cover if you want to buy this specific style.

Review of Snoogle Total Body Pillow

If you are NOT a side sleeper already, this pillow will probably be great for pregnancy. When you sleep on your side, your hips and shoulders are not evenly aligned, which can be uncomfortable plus one shoulder is always uner you and can fall asleep - not to mention the belly that hangs out as you become more an more pregnant.

If you already are a side sleeper, you probably have solved these problems. I sleep on a Temperpedic-type pillow for my neck/bottom shoulder plus use a king sized pillow paralell to my body to align hips and top shoulder. This is basically what this and other body pillows do for you.

The problem I found is with this "C" shaped design, you are forced to use the Snoogle as the pillow under your head. It is like using a brand new cotton filled pillow -my head was propped up high, causing a neck ache. I only want to sleep with my existing pillow. Also the material was hot.Every night I tried it I threw it out of bed within an hour or so.

My solution was to instead buy a "cuddle U" pillow which is shaped like a "U". I put the curved part of the U at my feet and can use my existing pillow for my head. I tuck the covers around the entire pillow and still get the body support I am looking for. I am a tall person (5'10") and the curve being at/near my feet is not a problem.

After I discovered that I was having twins, one of my great concerns was how will I manage to feed them both, if i'll have to struggle between nursing one and tending to the other crying one! I first got a Boppy, and then as my DS got bigger, his legs would fall off to the side and a 'dent' developed in the middle of the curve.I first came across the Bosom Baby pillow at a breastfeeding store, and had to have it!
Reasons I love it:
1) I heard complaints that the Boppy isn't long/wide enough for larger women, and this is definitely longer/wider than the Boppy.
2)The cover that comes with it is velvety soft.
3)I can throw the pillow into the wash/dry when it gets soiled, and 'hang to dry ' the cover like the instructions note.
4)It is comfortable to use and could be helpful if you're nursing 24M+.
5)Makes a great pillow for your neck/head when watching tv!

My daughter spent 2 weeks in the NICU and after a few days of feeding her 2 baby girls separately, the lactation consultant recommended that she purchase this pillow to tandem feed and save time (She was spending almost 2 hours feeding them separately). This pillow saved so much time and made nursing so much more relaxing. One note: this pillow is HUGE so I would recommend sitting on the couch or floor while nursing (we had to use pillows to prop her up since the arms of the rocking chair in the NICU were a little high).

The cover is a great backup to my fleece cover, however the strap is not as nice as the one that originally came with the pillow. There is no velcro to help keep it in place and it has a tendency to tilt the pillow. Otherwise, the colors are cute and its easy to wash.

I registered for this product on a whim, and I am so very glad that I did.We used it on the very first day our full-term son came home, and have used it every day since that time (he is a very big boy at 3 1/2 months).It is highly portable, and we have carried it with us on visits to friends and family as it is a great place for him to rest comfortably, even in locations which might not usually be considered that baby friendly.It is a good alternative to a car seat on those occasions, particularly if you have a child who dislikes his car seat, or who is more comfortable stretched out instead of confined in a seat.Contrary to one of the reviews on this site, it isn't actually just a "boppy with a slipcover" but does in fact have padding all around, with an indent in the middle to hold baby.The shape allows your baby to feel snuggled and helps keep baby from rolling around or shifting around as he or she might on a regular pillow.

Okay, I'm somewhat exaggerating, but this pillow is the BEST.Unlike the snoogle or other C-shaped pillows, this one is contoured to fit a pregnant woman's body.The rectangular part at the top serves as a regular pillow for your head, and the long part of it can go either behind you, down your back, or in front of you, depending on which way you lie.The long part is also contoured with a little "lip" that either fits perfectly into the small of your back or right above the pregnant belly, depending on which way you're facing.The curved part at the bottom goes between your thighs to keep your back aligned properly, and the curly little "tail" part goes under your body, either right above your hips or right at the top of your belly.Either way, your belly is cushioned and "cuddled" very comfortably.

I found out two years ago that I have no disc material in between my lowest vertebrae and am prone to back problems.I have been able to avoid back problems, after first throwing my back out very painfully two years ago, with physical therapy and exercise.But when I got pregnant, I was worried about how it would affect my back as I gained weight, since I'd had back pain during my first pregnancy.I started having back pain while sleeping about 8 weeks ago - but the first night I used this pillow (at 24 weeks), I had NO BACK PAIN at all!I wish I'd bought it sooner!

Also, unlike the snoogle, this product has a cover that has a long zipper on the longest side, so it is no problem to remove the cover and wash it.I've heard complaints about the cover for the snoogle, that it fits on like a sleeve and is therefore hard to remove to wash.

One more thing - I ordered this to be shipped regularly and the manufacturer delivered it to me the next day, so I was able to use it right away.I am very happy with this product.I may use it even after pregnancy!

I had a hard time finding a toddler pillow at all.This one fit the bill nicely.The satin cover is nice, but we generally use the pillow with the toddler sheet set we purchased.My son is still figuring out what to do with it (he is 2 yr. 4 mo.) - lay on it, cuddle it or throw it, but better this size to do that with!The stuffing holds up but is soft enough to be comfortable for him.

Review of Leachco The Natural Contoured Nursing Pillow

I have used Bobbies and others. Now for my third child I have found this one and love it.
This fits well around you without leaving gaps. Your baby will snuggle close to you and you can adjust it when baby gets older so that you can elevate the baby, give a bit more head up or however she prefers to nurse.
The pillow snuggles right in and around you. PERFECT for rocking chairs.But also to just for lap use, like on a couch or such. I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs.
It moves right in as the pictures shows. The baby is NOT laying off the pillow, as shown in the pictures, unless you want her to.
I love that it doesn't show stains. I have a pink one and the color is beautiful. Soft but not pastel. It never loses shape. Bounces right back or stays soft but in shape.
As you can tell I am really happy and satisfied with it. Can recommend it.
Note: it has no changing option. It is one peace and you can't take the cover off.
LOVE the prodcut. Never felt that satisfied or happy with any of the other nursing pillows.
Especially the Bobby pillow. It never fit right nor around me.
Usually things are made for shorter women, but I am 6 feet it works well for me.
My friends who are shorter have come over and used it for their baby and it works well for them also.
Doesn't lose shape or firmness.
It is soft to touch but feels like a very good pillow you would rest your head on.
